What is EvilCraft?
EvilCraft by rubensworks (of Integrated Dynamics) is a dark-magic utility mod for Forge and NeoForge built on a blood economy. Combat damage spills Blood as a real fluid, machines drink it, and what comes out the other end ranges from flying brooms to soul-powered furnaces. The tone is horror-comedy — evil, but self-aware about it.
Its in-game guide, the Origins of Darkness, sequences the progression.
The Blood Economy and Signature Toys
- Collect blood: the Blood Extractor vacuums spilled blood from combat (and squeezes flesh); tanks store it.
- Craft the Blood Infuser: infuses items with blood — the mod's core crafting machine, producing Dark Gems and upgrades.
- Find a Dark Temple: the worldgen structure holds the Environmental Accumulator, which trades weather effects for powerful items.
Signature content:
- Brooms: genuinely great modular flight — assemble rod, brush, and cap parts with different stats, fueled by blood.
- Spirit Furnace: capture a mob's spirit in the Box of Eternal Closure, then the furnace "cooks" the spirit into its drops on repeat — mob farming in a box, including player-only drops with the right setup.
- Colossal Blood Chest: repairs tools and armor over time for blood, one of the cheapest mass-repair systems in modded.
- Vengeance Spirits: invisible ghosts of slain mobs that haunt you until dealt with via spectral tools — the mod's signature ambient menace.
- Mace of Distortion and Weather Container: area-blast weaponry and bottled thunderstorms.
EvilCraft FAQ
How do I get blood in EvilCraft?
Fight things: damage spills blood into the world, and the Blood Extractor collects it automatically from the area or from flesh items. Mob farms over collection setups scale it.
How does the Spirit Furnace work?
Trap a mob's spirit with the Box of Eternal Closure, insert the box into the Spirit Furnace with blood supplied, and it produces that mob's drops continuously.
