Economy

Master the player-driven Quasar economy — salaries, auction house, chest shops, trading, and more.

Getting Started

Welcome to the Quasar Economy! Whether you dream of running a bustling empire of chest shops, flipping rare items on the auction house, or simply earning a steady income while you play, this guide will show you the way.

The economy rewards you for playing — your salary and earning potential are tied directly to your playtime rank. The longer you play and the higher your rank, the more you earn.

Essential Wallet Commands

  • /eco — Opens the Economy Hub, your one-stop dashboard for the auction house, admin shop, chest shop directory, transaction log, and privacy settings.
  • /eco balance — Check your current balance. Use /eco balance <player> for a friend's (if public).
  • /eco pay <player> <amount> — Send money directly to another player.
  • /baltop — See the richest players. Use /baltop global for the network-wide leaderboard.

Earning Money

Salary & Playtime Ranks

Simply being online and active earns you a salary every 15 minutes automatically. How much you earn depends on your playtime rank — as you climb by accumulating playtime, your salary increases like a raise for your dedication.

Note

You must be actively playing to receive your salary — if you've been AFK for more than 5 minutes you won't be paid for that interval.

Other Ways to Earn

  • Selling items on the Auction House or in Chest Shops
  • Trading with other players
  • Running a profitable Chest Shop — buy low, sell high!

Tip

Check the Economy Hub under your balance to see exactly how much your current rank earns per 15-minute interval. Visit the Playtime Perks page for the full rank table.

Auction House

The Auction House is a cluster-wide marketplace — items listed on one server can be seen and purchased by players on any other server in the same cluster. Perfect for maximum exposure.

Selling an Item

Hold the item you want to sell in your hand and type:

/ah sell <price> [count] [days]
  • price — How much you want to charge.
  • count (optional) — How many items to sell.
  • days (optional) — Listing duration. A menu appears if omitted.

Listing Fees

DurationSeller Fee
1 Day1%
3 Days5%
7 Days15%
12 Days20%
15 Days30%

Fees are deducted from your earnings when someone buys — you keep the rest. Shorter listings cost less but give buyers less time.

Browsing & Buying

  • /ah — Opens the auction house browser. Click an item to purchase (confirmation screen first).
  • /ah search <query> — Search for specific items by name.

Your Listings & Watchlist

Click “My Listings” inside the GUI to manage or reclaim expired items.

Waiting for a specific item? Set a watch:

/ah watch <item> [permanent|untilPurchase]

You'll be notified whenever that item is listed — even on other servers in your cluster. Toggle sale notifications with the bell icon in /ah.

Chest Shops

Chest Shops are your own permanent, physical shops in the world. Unlike the auction house, they're tied to a specific server and location — customers come to you.

Creating a Shop

  • Place any container (chest, barrel, etc.) and fill it with items.
  • Place a sign on the front of the container.
  • Write [shop] on the first line and your shop name on the second line (3–15 characters).

The shop auto-detects all unique item types in the container and creates listings.

Managing Your Shop

Right-click your sign/container to open the shop GUI. As owner you can refresh listings, rename, view stats, and upgrade. Shift-right-click a specific listing to set prices, quantity, and toggle visibility.

Tip

All listings start with no prices set — make sure to configure them or nobody will be able to buy or sell!

Hint

Shift-right-click the container to open it normally without the shop GUI.

Shop Tiers

TierNameUpgrade FeeMonthlyBenefit
0NormalFreeFreeBasic local shop

2Teleport5,000¤2,500¤/moTier 1 + players can teleport to you
3Remote Access12,500¤5,000¤/moTier 2 + remote purchasing

Note

If you can't afford the monthly renewal your shop will be downgraded to Tier 0. Upgrading between premium tiers is prorated.

Bidding & the Directory

Premium shops can set a monthly bid — higher bids display higher in /cs shops. Browse the directory with /cs or search with /cs search <query>.

Trading

Player Trading

The trade system provides a safe, scam-proof way to exchange items and money directly with another player.

  • /trade <player> — Send a trade request (or accept an incoming one).
  • Both players see a side-by-side GUI — drag items and click the emerald icon to add money.
  • Both players must click Ready. If either side changes their offer, both ready states reset.

Note

Trade requests expire after 60 seconds. Trades work across servers in the same cluster.

The Admin Shop

On clusters where it's enabled, the Admin Shop (/shop) is a server-run store with fixed prices. It never runs out of stock and provides a stable fallback market for essentials.

Tip

Not all clusters have an Admin Shop. Try /shop to see if yours does.

Logs & Extras

Tickets

Tickets are special redeemable items that unlock perks like server ranks or chat prefixes. They can be bought, sold, and traded like regular items.

  • Hold a ticket and right-click to open the redemption screen.
  • Use /ticket check to verify a ticket before buying.

Note

The ticket system is not active on all clusters.

Economy Log

Every transaction you make is recorded — salary payments, auction house buys/sales, chest shop transactions, player payments, and trades.

Access it from the /eco hub (book icon) or with /eco log.

Balance Privacy

Toggle your balance between Public and Private in the /eco hub or with /eco toggleBalancePrivacy.

  • Public — Visible to everyone, appears on /baltop.
  • Private — Only you can see your balance.
